Welcome! I’m Cindy Guthrie – an artist, nature photographer, graphic designer, author, clinical herbalist and chemist-by-trade based in central Alabama. I focus on capturing the beauty of nature in everyday moments. I trace my passion for herbal medicine to the spirit of my Cherokee great-grandmother who served her family and rural Alabama community as a healer over a hundred years ago. While I work in many mediums, I prefer soft pastels, colored pencils, and watercolor and strive to capture the light of life in my subject at the moment. With my photography, I simply attempt to capture the incomparable handiwork of our Creator, and I especially enjoy creating works of art from my own reference photos.
